The Brief

We were initially only required to measure, supply and fit all window treatments.  As the relationship developed we were then asked by the client to take on the whole house as a Interior Design project.  The client wanted their master bedroom to be a statement room luxurious and decadent, so we went for a vintage Art Deco theme, using lots of velvet in rich tones, Amy Somerville’s beautiful bespoke furniture and stunning gold chain lighting from Tigermoth and an original 1920’s Art Deco mirror to add some authentic glamour.

Client feedback, the results

My experience with James & Wallis was an entirely positive and enjoyable one.

With a fairly large project of 11 rooms to design, I felt daunted to say the least, but Lisa in particular proved an inspiration with her gift at interior design. Her ability and confidence at envisaging the final outcome encouraged me to be brave with concepts, she invested so much time to ensure everything was just right and as a result I have a breath-taking home that I never tire of looking at.

The quality of workmanship on the soft furnishings is fantastic and the fitting was always done to a very high standard.

The whole team oversaw the works in very personal way, nothing was ever too much trouble and any unforeseen hiccup was handled quickly and professionally.

I would recommend James & Wallis time and time again.
